Lennie (the Lizzard) is keeping a diary, and occasionally shares a little of his diary with me. Some of it is private and in lizard speak, too deep for my understanding. He began by sharing this entry from this Tuesday 14th September:
I heard the husband say to his wife
This covid lockdown is full of strife
And I wanted to say, if I had a voice
It’s all a matter of making a choice
To take a breath and make a shift
Be present at the moment, give thanks for the gift
For the chance to stop in their life of stress
To lay in the sun and fully rest.
All I know, and I know it well
That hope is real, and I want to tell
The spring will come, it will come once more
The sun will shine, I will be warmed to my core.
