Introducing Robert
Robert is a University student studying Film and Television at Swinburne University. His short film ‘Detached’ was screened at ACMI as part of Top Screens in early 2018.
What is your involvement with St Kilda Uniting Church?
With my parents going to the Church before I was born, I’ve been attending St Kilda Uniting Church for as long as I can remember, and I have many fond memories of growing up as a part of the community.
What does having faith mean for you?
Faith to me is about having an open mind, trying to be the best person you can be and having a positive impact on others and the world around you. I really enjoy St Kilda Uniting Church because I feel it provides a contemporary understanding of Christianity and provides great opportunity for self reflection and broadening one’s perspective on the world. It’s a great community to be a part of.
What is something that you’re looking forward to?
I’m looking forward to hopefully seeing society develop into a place where everyone can have their own beliefs, and also respectfully challenge each others views, in order to build greater connection and foster a more positive future.
