Introducing Mary
Mary has worshipped at St Kilda Uniting Parish Mission for almost 40 years.
What is your involvement with St Kilda Uniting Church?
Worship is a regular part of my life which I enjoy as a time of reflection, learning, reaffirmation of values and direction and participation in a community of people who are very important to me. I have enjoyed undertaking many roles within the congregation as time and life stages have allowed.
What does having faith mean for you?
I think inclusivity, acceptance, respect and encouragement are important practices which are fostered in my church life. All my life is enhanced by the model of Jesus as seen through the eyes of modern theology. Contextual and feminist theology are also very important to my understanding of Christian life today.
What is something that you’re looking forward to?
Mary has not answered this question for us so I guess, we need to ask her in person 🙂
