Loving God,
We pray for a place to belong,
A place to gather ourselves.
Whether a room, a building, a region, a community, cyberspace,
We pray for a place to pause and to know You.
May our homes, and places of gathering
Be filled with Your love
May we experience the sanctuary
Giving us the strength and courage to reach out to our World.
For some of us home is an unmet need,
and we pray for those who are experiencing homelessness.
For some of us home is becoming like a prison,
and we pray for those who are experiencing a sense of entrapment.
We pray for the people and systems
that support those experiencing housing insecurity.
If we can help, show us how!
If we can’t help, please grant us the serenity to accept it.
May Your Heaven be experienced by all of us
And may everyone enjoy the privacy, safety, and comfort of a place to call home.
