Loving God, who supports and allows everything to live,
Thank you for the gift of time – which flows on throughout our lives,
just as water does not return to its source once it has flowed.
We thank you for this moment,
which can only be replaced by another moment, and so on.
Help us to consider and accept
that as time flows, each instant is a once-in-a-lifetime encounter.
We know that change is inevitable – every living thing changes with each living moment.
We feel the rhythms and cycles of Nature,
And we experience our lives as a limitless succession of changes.
For those of us who have worries and problems,
Please guide us to imagine that a new light is shining onto those problems or difficulties
and all the people concerned.
It all begins today, from now on.
For those of us who are experiencing a state of satisfaction and cheerfulness,
Please remind us that everything is flowing along and changing.
Loving God, we ask to be aware of change, to not be frightened, to have a bit of faith.
Thank you for our memories, thank you for this moment, and thank you for the possibilities which lie ahead.
